When delivered on December 14, 2004, P&O Nedlloyd Mondriaan (now Maersk Sana) was the world’s largest container ship. Like the seven sisters that followed her, she is powered by the largest Common Rail Flex Engine built by Wartsila, pressing 83000 horse power into a three-story space.
Carrying up to 8466 boxes, these ships are huge long-range heavy-weights, linking Europe to the Far East and running at a continuous speed of 24kn.
