A cutting-edge example is the world's first installation of a Wärtsilä 12 RT-flex 96 engine on a series of eight 8,400 TEU container carriers built at IHI Japan, which at that time were the biggest container vessels in the world. A further example of market-tailored ships are 1,100 TEU feeder vessels designed by us, which provide maximum loading flexibility due to full high-cube and pallet-wide capable holds, powered by costs saving, economical two-stroke 6 RT-flex 50 engines.
