Komrowski Group acquires Reederei Blue Star from A.P.Moeller Maersk

Hamburg based Shipowner Komrowski acquires from the A P Moeller Maersk sister company Maersk Ship Management Holding B.V. the also Hamburg based Reederei Blue Star GmbH.
The Komrowski Group was founded in 1912 as a steel trader, in 1923 the company expanded into ship owning. Komrowski Befrachtungskontor KG was a further addition in 1953 adding broking and agency to the activities. Presently the third and forth generation are leading the family group by Mr. Ernst-Peter Komrowski and his son Ernst-Thomas Komrowski.
'This acquisition gives us the opportunity to become active in the large containership segments' Komrowski managing director Roland Höger said.
